Bill Booth THeater Company

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Founded in 2002, the Bill Booth Theater Company (BBTC) is a creative ministry of The Salvation Army USA Central Territory dedicated to sharing the Gospel through storytelling. Blending drama, humor, music, and theatrical creativity, the company seeks to engage audiences of all ages while pointing people toward a deeper relationship with Christ.

Over the years, BBTC has presented programs throughout the Central Territory and beyond, including international ministry opportunities in Canada, Chile, and England. In 2015, the group was honored to participate in BOUNDLESS, the global celebration of The Salvation Army’s 150th anniversary in London.

In addition to touring theatrical programs, the company has developed and produced original works, including the musical A Long Way Off, a retelling of Luke 15 created by songwriter Phil Laeger and BBTC director Joe Caddy, and the U.S. adaptation and premiere of Belongings: A Thrift Store Musical, originally written and produced in the UK Territory.

Each member of the Bill Booth Theater Company is actively involved in their local Salvation Army corps and shares a commitment to using their creative gifts in service to God’s mission. Through storytelling, collaboration, and imaginative performance, the company continues to explore new ways to communicate the hope of the Gospel through the arts.
